In fall of 2014, BBH began an initiative to incentivize non-client based creative work– Culture Vultures is an exercise where a few BBH’ers are tasked with making something go viral in two weeks. The budget is typically just enough to cover production, so projects are reliant on their idea, execution, and strategy to garner any attention.
Culture Vulture projects can be anything, from cultural remixes to inside jokes. With some projects however, we’re actively trying to enter the “virality cycle” during its second phase– participating in the event response in such a way that it hopefully becomes news worthy itself– garnering mainstream media coverage.
